Tim White said Very Disappointing. Very disappointing - I'd read a previous Owen McKenna novel that was pretty good. This one is not, for several reasons:1. The initial escape with Gertie is one of the most poorly constructed I've ever read, and totally unrealistic."Very Disappointing" according to Tim White. True Beauty in the Eye of this Beholder Laura Needham Tahoe Ghost Boat is another "difficult-to-put-down" novel by Todd Borg. I loved it. One thing I was very impressed with was the underlying message that there is more to life than physical beauty. This is such an important message to share with everyone! Owen is so kind and finds a smart way to encourage Gertie. I thought it was amazing when Owen says to Gertie that there are other types of beauty besides physical such as, "passion, desire, interest, hunger for ideas, charity, attention, focus, ki. Chrism said I love this author. I discovered this writer about two years ago. I was happy to see that there was a series of books.I love mysteries and I have yet to guess "who done it". So either I have lost my touch, or Todd Borg keeps the twist and turns going.I love this character . Owen also has a great relationship with his Great Dane, Spot. It is not a "cutesie" relationship, but one that adds to the story.
