DESCRIPTION:

I was one of those kids who followed a dream to get into the business, and while you may never see me grappling with the televised greats, I managed to wrestle a few matches, which is a lot more than some kids who go through training get to do. When people think professional wrestling, they think WWE, and not much beyond that. However, those knowledgeable about the product are aware of the fact that everything begins on the independent circuit; in gyms, bingo halls, VFDs, and other places no one would expect. This is my story.

A fascinating look at what it's like in the Indies Amazon Customer I first learned of the Author through his writings on a wrestling site, and I loved what he had to say. Upon learning of this book, I ordered it. I enjoyed this book. It may be short, but it's full of a fascinating look on the Indy Scene.. "save your $$$" according to ky stud. I ordered this book because I'm a pro wrestler in Ky. I must say that if I was going to write a book about my experience in pro wrestling I would have had more than 5 matchs. This guy talks like he has had 100s of matchs. He is nothing more than a ring crew guy. His charecters he works with are vaugue . If you are on a show with a major name in the business name him. Saying " I was on a show with a big name" is like saying me and John Cena have something in common "we are both men" this book is not worth the money and this guy suckered me into buying it. I'm just trying to save som. Rebecca Baker said An Interesting Read. I really enjoyed Taking Bumps. It's a little jumbled as far as timeline goes, but it reads like you're talking to the author. Alex relates his experiences with clarity; it's obvious he has a lot of respect and passion for the wrestling business. I would recommend the book to anyone considering a professional wrestling career, or anyone who'd like to take a closer look at the industry.
