A Powerful Voice Karen Askew Out with Consequences is an eloquent testimony to the internal strength of the author, and a powerful witness for those who have not yet found their voices. In her compelling story, McDaniel reveals the complex issues of power and control always evident in abusive relationships. A brave endeavor that will empower others to break through the bonds of domination to become survivors!. shygurl said I couldn't put it down. I am amazed that despite all she went through she was not bitter and even felt some compassion for the people who treated her bad. This says alot about her Character. I enjoyed reading her story although it was very shocking to read some of the things she experienced, My heart broke for her. But her book was clearly written and it was easy to follow.
