Wow, What a Picture Collection! This is a great pictorial history for anyone interested in Alaska, western Canada, World War II, or civil engineering. The construction of the Alaska Highway was a tremendous feat in adverse conditions and completed in a tight time frame. The picture selection provides a wide variety of scenes throughout the project.. very nice P. Burke I bought it for my father who worked on the Alaskan Highway when he was right out of High School. It was a nice memory & conversation starter for him.
