My only quibble is with the editing This book is a revelation of the courage, endurance under harsh conditions, self-giving and lack of recognition of Australian nurses during and after the 1st World War. It is based on diaries, which present what they endured in a matter of fact way. They continued working while the tent hospitals were being bombed and they worked all day and half the night when large number of casualties were arriving at the hospitals. It is easy reading.
