I truly enjoyed reading this second installment in Amy Avanzino's Wake Up Call series. Belgium is not particularly known for their football knowledge, since our "football" is the "soccer" kind of football. At the start of the story therefore, I knew as much - or maybe even less - than Autumn did about this game.With Autumn however Amy wrote one of t. Great book! Fun read :) Julie B. I can't say enough great things about this book! As a parent with a child in youth sports, I laughed out loud at the descriptions of the parents in this novel. Although they are exaggerated versions of real-life parents with kids in youth sports, Amy didn't pull any punches bysubtlety pointing out the absurdity of the youth sports culture. Conversely, she also showed the benefits of participating in youth sports when it comes to the soc. Laugh out loud, yank at your heartstrings! Very fun summer read! I stole time in my day to keep reading. Very endearing, sweet story that builds throughout. I secretly wish my son won't play football for most the reasons the main character, Autumn, has in the beginning but I have to say the story brought out the incredible attributes a team - it's players and all their support - can bring to a child's life. Amy is a tremendously witty writer! I definitely laughed out loud many t
