The prophet provides this information for us in concise, epitomized form. In addition to the main body of the commentary, 'God Remembers' includes an informative introduction, thorough scripture and subject indexes, and an annotated selected bibliography, further enhancing the usefulness of this important reference work.. The book's major eschatological importance can be clearly seen for it reveals a wealth of information about Messiah and about the future and role of Israel during the important Day of Jehovah. In 'God Remembers' Charles Feinberg brings a high level of scholarship to his study of this significant and exegetically difficult book. Zechariah (along with Haggai) arduously seeks to bring Israel from their indifference to a complete spiritual return to the Lord. The prophet's pronouncement is of a coming day of unparalleled glory - a day when Messiah will rule the entire earth from Jerusalem. Their significance has been obscured by our neglect. Among the major messages of these prophets, that of Zechariah shines forth with special prominence. The nation's initial enthusiasm for rebuilding the temple and resettling the land had waned. With

A fantastic study of Zechariah If you don't know who Charles Lee Feinberg is, he's a Jewish guy who was training to be a Rabbi, got saved, and then earned 2 doctorates (1 from Dallas and 1 from John Hopkins). He was the longest standing dean of Talbot Seminary and was one of the main forces behind the translation of the NASB bible. I've heard it said that Charles Lee Feinberg was the only student who ever went to Dallas Theological Seminary did more teaching than learning while he was there. He is remembered as a man of great devotion to the Lord and vast scholarly intellect, and this comes out in his commentary on Zechariah.I won. Extremely recommend this! This book is a good commentary that I used as a devotional through the Prophetic book of Zechariah. The title plays on the meaning of the name Zechariah which in the Hebrew means “God remembers.” This is an appropriate title for a commentary on the book of Zechariah since God has not forgotten His people. God Remembers is the first book-length work that I read from the author and I totally enjoyed it. Having tasted this book as a sort of “first fruit,” I plan to read other works by Charles Feinberg in the near future. I can see why Charles Feinberg was a popular Old Testament . Feinberg tackles what even Martin Luther said, " I Clyde Kerley Feinberg tackles what even Martin Luther said," I give up." Which was chapters 13 and 14. I really appreciate Stan Toussaint recommending this book to me.
