Many of the "Level One" readers seem to contain very simple sentence structure but some "sight words" which are difficult to sound out for a child who is learning to read with a phonics-based curriculum; this book, however, is almost entirely made up of words which conform to phonics rules. My daughter read this book on her own with very little difficulty. She says: "I like this book because it has cute pictures and it is a nice story about friends who have to look around for way. Cute and creative! nsales I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter because she loves bugs. It's cute and a quick read, perfect for a bedtime story.. "Loved It!
