"Great Read for Kids!" according to Bree L.. My son LOVES THESE BOOKS! He is in Kindergarten (age 6) and they started reading these during reading time, and he loved them. He came home and kept telling me we have to get the dinosaur book, then the knight book, then the pirate book. I had no idea what he was talking about until I asked the teacher what he was reading. She told me, I ordered the first set and now Im ordering more. They are short stories, that revolve around a brother and sister and their antics. Its nice to read at bedtime as the chapters are very short (a couple pages) so you can read a couple chapters. great set of books for kids Jack and his little sister Annie are just two regular kids from Frog Creek, Pennsylvania. Then they discover a mysterious tree house packed with all sorts of booksand their lives are never the same! Soon they are traveling through time and space in the magic tree house and having amazing adventures. Whether it's watching baby dinosaurs hatch, finding a secret passage in a castle, helping a ghost queen in an Egyptian pyramid, or finding pirate treasure, readers won't want to miss a single story!. J. Phillips said Very Poor Literary Example. I am a first grade teacher and I beg you to NOT get any of these books. They are a terrible example for children learning to write. One of the many strategies I teach my students to use while spelling and writing is to ask themselves, "Does it look right?" because so much of what is taught is reinforced by exposure and experience. With the MTH books being such poor examples of grammar, sentence structure, and story development, what these children are learning (or un-learning) is detrimental. What in the world were the editor and author thinking??? They should be ashamed.
