Graphic, gory but still a gripping read Rebecca Huston After reading the previous two novels in this series by Anne Perry, I knew that I had to keep going, despite the general grimness and despair of the setting. After all, reading about life in the trenches of Belgium during World War I is not exactly a cheerful topic.
