Urogynecologist said Outline format helpful for review of subject matter. The subjects are covered well and the bulletted format keeps the verbiage limitted. I hope the next edition will have more pictures and diagrams. The material covered is heavy reading and very much fact filled. If you are not interested in this specialty of medicine then you will become bored quickly as the format is so heavily factual, but then this is an advantage if you want a quick review of these subjects.. This is an excellent review of the development and principles of Urogynaecology as a discipline. The text is ideal for those wanting the theoretical background to support fellowship training and as preparation for examinations. The question/answer review at the end of each chapter provided an effective assessment of understanding of the material. There has been significant progress in this field however and given the long process of research, writing and publication in producing such a book, the book is beset by the challenges of any textbook written a. "great book" according to ahmedz. This book is a well written book to the point. It contains dense material for a quick read. It may be heavy and boring for someone who is not interested in the subspecialty but if you are into the field, this is the one for you. The book lacks pictures and photo which is a disadvantage. However you can overcome this issue by having a surgical atlas book which will be a good supplement.I am waiting for the new edition to get it.
